As announced today, OpenDNS will become a Cisco company for $635 million, payable in cash.

Commenting on the takeover in a post at blog today, Hilton Romanski, senior vice president and head of Cisco's business development, said he would allow his company to provide better protection against threats to network entry points that are not tracked and potentially unsafe.
