Microsoft has not given a deadline for officially launching Chromium-based Edge for other versions of Windows, but the plan is to release the browser on multiple platforms.
For now, you can try Microsoft Edge also on Windows 7 by changing the user agent of your browser. However you should know that they are only supported Appliances of 64-bit.
