2 Pyrmoros is a building achievement of our team in preparation for the Shell Eco Marathon 2014 competition as it has successfully and fully embraced our expectations.
The team initially innovated among other things as during duration of this year he designed and built every single part of the car.
Starting from the engine, an innovative permanent magnet engine design was created, which proved to be profitable and ultimately implemented in the electric motor and power electronics lab.
Based on the power requirements of our new engine, the team of electronic power designs and implements the dc / dc converter which best collects the power output of the PV panel permanently on the roof and the dc / ac inverter which is responsible for providing the necessary drive power to the intended permanent magnet motor.
In addition, the automatic was also integrated algorithm start-up to save energy as well as cruise control to keep the speed constant during the race.
One of the most important additions to our new vehicle is the telemetry system which conveys live important clues during the race such as engine temperature, speed and distance traveled as well as the instantaneous consumption of our vehicle.
While the time was tight, the engineering subgroup also designed and manufactured the chassis and shell of the car as well as the steering system, keeping in mind the driver's safety and the parallel agility and ergonomics of the vehicle, aiming at the possible weight saving.
