If you use the Facebook mobile app, you probably have a lot more saved data in your location history than you might think. Although all this data is private and can only be seen by you (and Facebook of course) you may want to delete.
Let's say you'll probably worry about seeing how much site data the social network has saved.
Why Facebook explains that if you've enabled Location History in your app, it will periodically record your exact location and keep track of history even when you do not use the app. Below we will see how you can delete all of your location history, and how you can completely disable the feature.
To view your location history in a program tour:
Open Settings - Location and click View location history.
You will be prompted to enter your password.
To view the location history at phone your:
Follow the path: Settings - Account Settings - Location. Click View Location History.
You will again be prompted to enter your password.
Now you can see how much data Facebook saved because of the use of the mobile app.
This information includes specific locations you have visited, as well as data collected while you are in motion. The application saves points along your routes.
How to Delete Facebook Location History
It's simple, click the menu button in the top right corner, and click Delete all of the location history again.
You can also delete your location history for specific days. To do this, click the menu next to the date you want to delete and click Delete this day.
How to completely disable your location history on Facebook
Follow the path: Settings - Account Settings - Location.
In your Facebook Settings, turn off Location History.
Turning off history means you will not be able to use some Facebook features such as Find Wi-Fi and your nearby friends. Facebook also says that location history allows you to see relevant ads and helps improve Facebook.
Facebook is not the only social platform that collects the history of the sites you visit. Google is exactly the same as Google Maps.
