Facebook: new security check

Facebook started distributing a security tool as an add-on to what's already in your account. So in the coming weeks (possibly from today), you will begin to see a small line at the top of your feed that will ask you to go through a three-step process. If you want to have direct access, you can do from here.facebook security check

The social network states:

Security Scan is a quick way to review and add more security information to your account. You must log in to your Facebook account to start the Security Check.

The Security Checker will help you do the following:

  • Sign out of Facebook beforehandτα περιήγησης και εφαρμογές που δεν t
  • Receive notifications s that let you know if someone tries to log into your account from a new computer or phone
  • Learn how to protect your password

Note: This feature is available for users who connect to Facebook from a computer.

The first stage of Security Testing tells you how to connect from any device you have not used for a while.

Facebook will show you how to set up notifications so that every time your account connects to a new device, you get an email or a Facebook post.

The final stage of the process will show you how to create a powerful password.

The new feature is only available for computers at the moment, but with so much from mobile devices, the social network should soon make it available for smartphones as well.
