For example, you can instantly have the results of foreign sports matches from Fox Sports, or the daily weather forecast from Weather Channel.
News alerts, with CNN Breaking News and Top Stories of Fox News will provide you with instant updates the moment the event is first announced.
The new app for those who did not understand it is a Facebook effort to invade media in the way Twitter did.
It is known that from Twitter, the news is circulated immediately as they happen.
The Facebook news app is reportedly still in the experimental stage as it is only available in the US and will only provide alerts from the few news agencies that are currently working together. Sources, however, report that the app will provide alerts and based on your Facebook profile.
All notifications will be delivered directly to the lock screen, so a quick look will let you know what's going on.
