Facebook just released a new one application για κινητά που χρησιμοποιούν την πλατφόρμα της Apple (iOS). H εφαρμογή ονομάζεται Facebook Notify and promises to deliver instant notifications "about the things that matter to you, from the source you love, all in one place."
So using the app you will be able to receive notifications on your smartphone from the sources you like the most and the categories you want.
For example, you can instantly have the results of foreign sports matches from Fox Sports, or the daily weather forecast from Weather Channel.
News alerts, with CNN's Breaking News and Fox News's Top Stories, will provide you with immediate updates at the time the first news is announced.
The new app for those who did not understand it is a Facebook effort to invade media in the way Twitter did.
It is known that from Twitter, the news is circulated immediately as they happen.
The Facebook news app is reportedly still in the experimental stage as it is only available in the US and will only provide alerts from the few news agencies that are currently working together. Sources, however, report that the app will provide alerts and based on your Facebook profile.
All notifications will be delivered directly to screen lock, so a quick glance will let you know what's going on.
As you can see, the biggest social network doesn't want us to unlink them eyefrom our mobile phone...
