Matthew Miller has just announced the release of the final version of Fedora 26. Fedora is available in three versions: Workstation, Server and Atomic Host and can be run on various hardware including i686, x86_64, and ARM.
The Fedora 26 features a new partition manager disk in the Anaconda installer it uses and comes with many package updates:
"First, of course, we have thousands of improvements to the various upstream software we're integrating, including new development tools like GCC 7, Golang 1.8 and Python 3.6.
We have added a new disk partitioning tool to Anaconda (Fedora's installer) as the existing feature was difficult for non-experts. But this option will be appreciated by the friends of the operating system and the sysadmins who wish to build their own storage system from basic building tools.
F26 also has many improvements, such as better storage of user and group information and better management of debugging information. THE Admin DNF packages comes with a new major release (2.5) bringing many new features,” says Matthew Miller in the release announcement.
More information about the new Final can be found at publication of the publication and distribution notes.
