Fleksy

Fleksy: Typing Greek blinds without errors on Android

Flesky, a hugely popular iPhone application that lets users type blindly - but also blindly - has been ported to the Android platform as well. The most important development of its creators, three Greeks who met foreigners, was the of the Greek language. The ability to type Greek with the blind into a touch screen for Android devices is in beta and the Syntellia team invites us to participate in the tests with constructive feedback!

Fleksy

As one of Fleksy's creators has brought us, Ioannis Vervelis, the logic behind “Fl” is that each word has a pattern formed by the movements we make when we try to write it in a with the prevailing QWERTY layout. Deciphering what we were trying to write on the touch screen, as our fat fingers, small screen, haste or the unexpected while walking down the street led us to mistakes, Fleksy consults the index looking for words of the language with the same pattern. This method yields very good results, judging by the app's popularity on iOS devices.

By installing Fleksy 1.2.3 from Google Play, and following a brief and informative tutorial, we began to try typing blindly in Greek with the comfortable, much larger, Fleksy keyboard. We write SMS, Facebook posts, tweets and emails in Gmail much faster, not just because the keyboard has grown. Errors and suggested words that are automatically entered are rarely incorrect, and corrections require only a swipe to the left to try again. But it seems that Fleksy, albeit in beta, is doing well with the Greek language, and we have already passed on our first observations to the creators.

Download Fleksy on your Android and let's meet in the game of typing (Speed game) included in the application!

The full application is available as a free trial for one month - if the user finds it useful, they can buy the Fleksy Keyboard - Happy Typing from Google Play for 2,79 euros (fair).

Finally, it is interesting that Fleksy can also be used by smartwatch like the Samsung Galaxy Gear!
