Overall, the market moved upwards from 2012 by 3,5%.

In second place was the Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), with a market share of 15,6% (150,785 million devices) and a significant decrease compared to the percentage of sales in 2012 which reached 19,1% (130,133 million devices). The third place is shared between Huawei (46,609 million smartphones) and LG Electronics (46,431 million smartphones) with a market share of 4,8%. The top five is completed by with a market share of 4,5% (43,904 million "smart" devices). The remaining manufacturers sold in 2013 a total of 380,249 million smartphones (39,3%), compared to 269,526 million devices (39,6%) in 2012.

At operating system level, Google's Android remains the most popular, holding 78,4%. Here are Apple with iOS and share 15,6% (against 19,1% 2012) and Microsoft with Windows Phone and share 3,2%. In fourth place BlackBerry was found with its percentages shrinking to 1,9%.
