A few months ago, Microsoft inaugurated the futuristic Cybercrime Center in a new complex in Redmond to fight cybercrime around the world. This weekteam, the company held its first annual cybercrime summit, where it signed memorandums of understanding with three agencies that will help expand its efforts in this area.
The Microsoft Press Release says one of them is Europol, The official service European law enforcement Unions. Another is the Organization of American States (Organization of American States), which lists 34 countries from North and South America. The third service is the FIS, the largest banking technology company in the world, which provides its services to over 14.000 banks and financial institutions.
Microsoft states: "The Partnership Framework Agreements are designed to enhance collaboration and help Microsoft work with each of the three organizations to combat crime and cybercrime in general."
