Google Chrome will protect selected users from dangerous downloads with the help of the Advanced Protection Program (Advanced Protection Program or simply APP), which was originally launched by the company in 2017.
AAP's goal was to provide users with a high likelihood of becoming targets of cyberattacks, such as journalists, activists and politicians, in the arsenal necessary to remain protected when accessing their Google accounts.
But if you look at how threats are evolving, 2017 seems to be a long way off. So Google is now expanding its program to include Google Chrome, stopping malicious downloads that could be used in complex cyber attacks.
