Google: Drones with internet 40 times faster than 4G LTE

The project, codenamed "SkyBender", aims to test prototype transceivers and drones that use millimeter wave radio transmissions.
Mln transmissions use the frequency of 28 GHz and although smaller than current 4G technologies, speeds are incredibly fast.

Theoretically, milimeter wave technology can carry multiple gigabit data per second, up to 40 times faster than current 4G LTE systems.

The SkyBender project is part of a small of Google Access which has also been undertaken by Project Loon, another experiment to provide high-speed internet.
