Google Meet shows you with a new dynamic background that changes as you move your phone or tablet, making it look like you're calling from somewhere exotic.
Google Meet launches a new feature in your communications. On the videocalls it will show you a virtual 360 degree background behind you. It's available on both iOS and Android and uses your device's gyroscope to move the background with you as you turn it phone you.
As you can see in the GIF, the 360 degree background will change depending on the position of your phone or tablet. So if you move your phone left or right, your background will adjust to show different scenery.
Google says that the users can apply "several" new 360-degree backgrounds during video calls, including one showing a beach and another featuring a temple.
While the feature looks pretty cool, the animated background can be distracting caution of your interlocutor if you are constantly moving your phone.
