Google today released a new tool to make it easier for apps and services within and except of the cloud platform to communicate with others: the Google Cloud Pub / Sub is here.
The new API, which is still in beta, is designed to deliver reliable and real-time messaging as a robust alternative that isn't dependent on cable services. Google says the technology behind it has already been used to power apps like its Discover feature Snapchat, but also its own services, such as Hangouts.
The API will provide all clients with 10.000 topics and 10.000 messages per second from beforechoice, and the resource characteristics for each region covered by the Cloud Platform in order to reduce latency.
The company he says that the latency is measured in less than a second even if the messages moving by the service amount to 1 million per second.
Developers can enable Pub / Sub from the Google Developers Console in the API & Auth Section.
