This post will not come as a surprise to many of you. For 2020, Google is preparing to release another communication application. According a post in The Information, Google's new app (no name yet) will bring together different parts of G Suite, including Gmail, Hangouts Chat, Hangouts Meet, and Google Drive.

Η company has a very long list of attempts to create a communication app. For those who don't remember we can mention the Gmail apps, Hangouts, Google+, Gchat, Allo, duo, Spaces, Wave, RCS, inbox, the weird chatting environment on YouTube and maybe something I'm not feeling right now. How many of these communication applications have you used at one time, and how many of them remain?
Google's continued efforts to develop a communication application seem to have no end.
The app, which is currently being tested internally by Google and will be available as part of G Suite, will be aimed at businesses. The publication from The Information says that the app may be launched as a competitor to Slack and Teams apps, although there are currently not many details on how the upcoming app will work.
We should not be surprised if we see the application released this year Google I/O. Until then, if you want a chat app you can use one of the other twenty ways the company has…
They have been content with collecting so much information (why ???) that they have completely sidelined the development labs. The result is "we do this, until we stop and move on to the next".
