Google just released a new one technology συμπίεσης εικόνας που ονομάζεται RAISR από το Rapid and Accurate Super Image Resolution. The new technology is designed so that you can save your valuable data without sacrificing the quality of your photos.
Η company ισχυρίζεται ότι με το RAISR θα χρησιμοποιείται μέχρι και 75% λιγότερο εύρος ζώνης, αφού θα επεξεργάζεται και θα αναλύει εκδόσεις εικόνων χαμηλής και υψηλής ποιότητας. Μόλις αναλυθεί μια εικόνα, ο αλγόριθμος μαθαίνει τι κάνει την καλύτερη έκδοση ανώτερη και προσομοιώνει τις διαφορές στην εικόνα με την χαμηλότερη ανάλυση. 
In essence, this is done by using machine learning and creation an Instagram-style filter that can trick your eye into thinking lower-quality images are on par with high-resolution variants.
Unfortunately, the technology will initially work only on Google+ where Google says it will support upscaling to over a billion images a week.
If you do not want to use Google+, you will have to wait a little longer because, according to the company, RAISR will be added to more applications in the coming months.
