Other three cases of suicide intention were prevented by Address Electronic Crime the last two days
Since the beginning of the year, suicides have been prevented (126) by individuals who have declared their intention online
Three more cases of suicide attempt by Internet users have prevented, following direct and concerted action, the Greek Penalty Prosecution Directorate of the Greek Police.
In particular, in the first case, yesterday morning (20.06.2014), the Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office was informed that a person has expressed his intention to commit suicide by posting on the Facebook social networking site.
Direct officers of the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate conducted a thorough digital police investigation, in the context of which they managed to locate the electronic traces of the person as well as the address of his residence in the area of Kalamata. After informing the local A.T. and from the ongoing investigation it was established that this is a 21-year-old female citizen. The local police officers went to her house, where they found the 21-year-old, who was then taken to a hospital for psychological support.
As regards the second case, today (22.06.2014) in the morning, the Electronic Crime Prosecution Division was informed that a person expressed suicidal intent, from conversation μέσω διαδικτύου σε πραγματικό χρόνο «IRC». Στο πλαίσιο της ψηφιακής έρευνας και analysisof the electronic traces of the specific connection, its geographic location was immediately identified and it emerged that it belongs to a 39-year-old resident of Haidari. Police officers from the local AT were immediately informed, who rushed to the 39-year-old's house and ensured his physical integrity.
Τέλος, όσον αφορά στην τρίτη περίπτωση, σήμερα πάλι (22.06.2014) το πρωί η Διεύθυνση Δίωξης Ηλεκτρονικού Εγκλήματος ενημερώθηκε πως χρήστης online παιχνιδιού συγκεκριμένης εταιρείας, απέστειλε στην εταιρεία αυτή, μήνυμα στο οποίο εκδήλωνε την πρόθεση του να αυτοκτονήσει. Άμεσα κινητοποιήθηκαν και σε αυτήν την περίπτωση, τα στελέχη της Διεύθυνσης Δίωξης Ηλεκτρονικού Εγκλήματος, τα οποία ύστερα από ενδελεχή ψηφιακή έρευνα διαπίστωσαν πως το επίμαχο μήνυμα είχε αποσταλεί από ηλεκτρονική σύνδεση σε περιοχή του Βύρωνα. Διαπιστώθηκε πως ο χρήστης του παιχνιδιού είναι underage and specifically a 16-year-old citizen.
