Crazy throttle
The 1.244 kg Venom GT is powered by a 8 liter V7.0 twin turbo engine producing 1.244 hp and accelerates to 193 km/h from a standstill in just 7.71 seconds. The Venom GT was tested in space centre of NASA in Cape Canaveral, Florida. In this the car managed to develop a speed of just over 434 km/h (270 mph). In fact, the test driver, Brian Smith, stated immediately after the test that he could develop an even higher speed and the speedometer showed 450 km/h but he needed a longer track than the one on which it was tested to achieve it. The factory car speed record was previously held by the Buggati Veyron Super Sport which has developed a speed of 431 km/h.
