The operating system developed by Huawei and often referred to as HongMeng will be faster than Android and macOS, according to company founder Ren Zhengfei.
Zhengfei talked about its development operating system in an interview given to a French magazine, explaining that HongMeng will support Android applications, but will be faster than the Google platform.
In addition, Zhengfei reported that there are already noticeable faster performances when comparing HongMeng with Apple's macOS, as the team development has focused specifically on achieving latency processingof less than 5ms.
Huawei founder claims that the upcoming HongMeng operating system was designed from the ground up to be a universal platform. This way it can be installed not only on smartphones but also on other devices manufactured by the company, such as PC and tablet. In other words, it could be a complete replacement for Windows.
According to an order signed by US President Donald Trump in mid-May, Huawei is no longer allowed to use software and hardware developed by American companies, which includes Android and Windows.
Huawei naturally accelerated the development of its operating system after the ban. It seems that the upcoming HongMeng operating system will be able to serve as an alternative solution for both two,
HongMeng It is supposed to be released in 2019 starting from the Chinese market in the fall. The international release of the operating system will be completed next year.
Huawei will not abandon HongMeng's development efforts regardless of whether the situation with the United States changes.
So we should expect this operating system in Huawei smartphones, regardless of whether the company can use Android or not.
