IBM was released the 2013 Cyber Security Intelligence Index, an infographic that examines the global landscape of online threats.

Most attacks are targeted at organizations from the following industries: 26,5%, Finance and Insurance (20,9%), Information and Communications (18,7%), Health and Social Services (7,3%), and Retail and Wholesale (6,6%).
Two of the most common types of attacks, which represent over 60% of all incidents, are malware attacks and the businesses identification.
Half the attacks cyber attacks are opportunistic, 23% of them are part of industrial espionage, terrorism, financial crime or simply data theft operations.
Resentment with the employer or work, and social activism are also common motives.
