Some use the words "Internet" and "Website”Indiscriminately, as if it were a concept. This use of these terms is technically incorrect.
The Internet and the World Wide Web describe a relationship of the "whole" and a "part" of the whole. The Internet is the big container, and the Web is a place within that container. It is common in everyday conversation to use shortcuts like “Net” and “Web” referring to the same thing. But to be technically accurate, the Net is the restaurant, and the World Wide Web or Web is the most popular dish on the menu.
1: The Internet is a large collection of computers and cables.
The Internet is the name that describes the diaconnection των δικτύων υπολογιστών. Το ARPAnet ήταν αρχικά ένα πείραμα του στρατού των USA which was created to keep communications active in the event of a possible nuclear attack. Over time, ARPAnet became a political experiment, connecting computers mainframe universities for academic purposes. As PCs became more mainstream in the 1980 and 1990 decades, the internet grew up with more users who connected their computers to the huge network. Today, the Internet has evolved into a public net that includes millions of personal, government, and corporate computers connected to each other by cables and wireless signals.
In theory at least nobody is the owner of the internet. Speaking theoretically, there is no government that has its absolute power. The Internet was born as a free and open means of communication and data transmission.
2: The World Wide Web is a large collection of HTML pages on the Internet.
The World Wide Web, or “Web” for short, is a vast collection of digital pages. A large subset of software of the Internet is dedicated to broadcasting content, in the form of its pages HTML. The site is viewed using free software called web browser. Born in 1989, the World Wide Web, or "Web", was built using the hypertext protocol transfer protocol), a language that allows all of us to go through hyperlinks on any public web page. Today there are around 70 billions of public Web sites.
