A publication of Reuters reports today, that its construction iPhone X costs Apple a lot less than you might think, despite being the most expensive iPhone on the market.
According to TechInsights, a company known to dismantle and appreciate the device accessories, the iPhone X has a cost of manufacturing 357,50 dollars.
So compared to the iPhone 8 Plus there is a big difference since Apple costs about 288 dollars, a little bit higher than the iPhone 7 Plus last year, which cost about 277 dollars. Apple's profit from iPhone 8 reached 59 per cent as devices sell 799 dollars (iPhone 8 Plus) and 699 dollars (iPhone 8).
According to report by TechInsights, it appears that many of the parts found in the iPhone X are more expensive than those in the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. For example, the 5,8-inch edge-to-edge display costs $65,50, while the stainless steel frame costs $36, so these two together they cost just over $100.
But Apple has the iPhone X for 999 USD in the US, and this price is much higher in other parts of the world, such as Greece, where the price will reach 1.200 euros. So although the device has better parts than iPhone 8, the profit for Apple is very high.
If you do the subtraction (1000 - 358), you will see that the profit for Apple reaches 642 euros per device σο Especially the devices that cost around 1200 euros…
