Το Facebook επιβράβευσε έναν 10χρονο Φιλανδό που ανακάλυψε ένα bug ασφάλειας στο Instagram with 10.000 dollars. The bug allowed the 10-year-old hacker to delete whatever content he wanted from Facebook's image service.
Janni reported the issue to Facebook at the end of February and received the money as a reward in March. To prove the bug, Janni deleted a message to one of Instagram's test accounts.
Upon receipt of a check, Janni may be considered the youngest Facebook security researcher to be rewarded for discovering a bug. The previous smaller was 13 years old.
According to the Finnish newspaper Iltalehti, Janni learned the basics of coding and security from videos on YouTube.
Janni of course mentioned that he plans to become a security researcher and that he will use the reward to buy a new bike, and new computers for his two brothers.
