KB4462933 on Windows 10 problems and fixes

Microsoft released cumulative update KB4462933 on October 24. The update was supposed to improve and patch systems running the OS April 10, 2018 Update (version 1803).

Although this update was not initially reported to have issues, Microsoft has provided more information about issues you may experience after installing it by confirming different errors in Windows 10.kb4462933

The first, is an issue of KB4462933 reportedly crashing them for developers in Microsoft Edge. Launching the tools from the menu does not work according to Microsoft, which states that the problem may be temporarily fixed until the next update.

So on Windows 10 x64, to restore developer tools, you'll need to log in with an administrator account and the following :

C: \ Windows \ SystemApps \ Microsoft.MicrosoftEdgeDevToolsClient_8wekyb3d8bbwe \ microsoft.system.package.metadata \ Autogen \JSByteCodeCache_64

In Windows x86bit, delete the following file and then restart your browser:

C: \ Windows \ SystemApps \ Microsoft.MicrosoftEdgeDevToolsClient_8wekyb3d8bbwe \ microsoft.system.package.metadata \ Autogen \JSByteCodeCache_32

KB4462933's second problem is an error that Microsoft says could happen after the September 11 2018 .NET Framework update installation.

"Once you install the .NET Framework update on September 11, 2018, delivering SqlConnection can cause problems," says Microsoft.

Microsoft is preparing to release new cumulative updates next Tuesday, November 13.
