His popular "mirror". KickassTorrents KAT.am is back online. But this time it asks for your credit card details (!) to allow you to download something, which ultimately you have no idea what it is.
After a short pause, the domain reappeared online. But while the website looks like a fully functional mirror of KickassTorrents, it asks its visitors to create an account if they want to download anything.
KAT.am was one of the first mirrors that appeared and claimed to have had a copy of the original KAT database. After several publications on high-profile new high-tech sites, the site became well-known and, as it seems, the crooks did not leave the opportunity to go missing.
So, at first glance, the site looks like KAT, no one can download anything unless it makes an account.

The sign-up page redirects to a scammy portal that requires you to enter your credit card details if you want a free trial.
Needless to say, this is not KickassTorrents, and has all the hallmarks of a classic “Pay to Download. "
