Lightyear One 710 km range with one charge

Lightyear One is a Dutch solar electric vehicle that in June broke the record for the longest distance traveled by an EV on a single charge .

At a speed of 85km / h, the car traveled for almost nine hours, covering a distance of 710 km!
The validation test took place at the Aldenhoven Testing Center in Germany.

According to the namesake , Lightyear, "αυτή η απόσταση είναι η μεγαλύτερη απόσταση που έχει επιτύχει ποτέ ένα ηλεκτροκίνητο όχημα με μπαταρία των 60kWh".

Lightyear One is currently being tested on years and has four independent electric motors. It consumes 83Wh/km and can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in less than 10 seconds.

The car is available as standard with over-the-air software updates, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

It has five solar panels, which add a distance of 12 kilometers per hour of charging. This could be ideal in sunny countries, as the vehicle could travel for months without being charged.

Solar panels are embedded in glass on the roof of the car.

The Lightyear One will be released in the first half of 2022 and will cost around $ 177.000.
