Linux Mint 18.1: Linux Mint is an Ubuntu-based distribution. It offers a more complete out-of-the-box experience, as it includes program add-ons tours, multimedia codecs, support for DVD playback, Java and more.
It also comes with a customized desktop and menu, many unique configuration tools, and a web-based package installation interface from Ubuntu software repositories.
The Linux Mint team today announced the release of an updated version of Project 18.x. The new version, Linux Mint 18.1, is available in two versions (KDE and Xfce), in 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.
Both versions offer upgrades to X-apps applications. Also, the Admin updates may display a list of its available versions kernel with recommendations.
