The Linux Mint team has released a new version of the Debian-based distribution. The new version, Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) 4, is based on Debian 10 and comes with the Cinnamon desktop of the Mint team.
"This new version of it LMDE contains many improvements, some of the main ones: Automated disk partitioning with support for LVM and full encryption, Home directory encryption, support for automated installation of NVIDIA programs and drivers. Support for NVMe, Secure Boot Btrfs support, Submodule support, New Installer, automatic εγκατάσταση πακέτων μικροκώδικα, αυτόματη detection resolution for the live session at a minimum of 1024×768 at VirtualBox.
Mint 19.3 enhancements (HDT, Boot-repair, System references, language settings, HiDPI and artwork enhancements, Gnote, Drawing, Cinnamon 4.4, XApp status icons… etc) APT recommendations are enabled by default.
Removed deb-multimedia repository and packages. Debian 10 Buster package base me backports.
