Linux Mint LMDE (Debian Edition) beta

The Linux Mint team he said the availability of a development snapshot “Debian ” (LMDE) of Linux Mint.

LMDE is a Linux Mint project and means "Linux Mint Debian Edition". Its goal is to ensure that Linux Mint can continue to provide the same user experience if Ubuntu disappears at some point. LMDE is also one of our development goals, to ensure that the software we develop is compatible outside of Ubuntu.

LMDE aims to be as similar as possible to Linux Mint, but without Ubuntu. The base of the package is provided by Debian. ”

The release notes Have for setting up LMDE, they list fixes for common problems and tips for running on older 32-bit computers.
