Lionsgate filed a lawsuit against the release of Expendables 3

Η Lionsgate filed suit against six file- ιστοσελίδων που υποτίθεται ότι διέρρευσαν και διένεμαν αντίγραφα της ταινίας The Expendables 3.

consumables 3 Lionsgate

Last week we saw the film leaked, while its official release was scheduled for August 15 on . Η ταινία Expendables 3 διέρρευσε σαν DVD υψηλής ποιότητας weeks before the official release. Time and quality combine to make the leak one of the most famous in recent years.

Although the movie studios behind the film seemed to be rather quiet, they tried very hard to contain the damage. Lionsgate even sent takedown requests to several file distribution websites. While most websites complied with the requests and removed them who were breaking the law, some others did not respond.

In response to this apparent lack of collaboration, Lionsgate has sued six file-sharing sites - Limetorrents.com, Billionuploads.com, Hulkfile.eu, Played.to, Swankshare.com and Dotsemper.com. The complaint was filed in federal court in California and accuses the owners of the websites of "copyright infringement".

Παραδόξως το Limetorrents είναι το μόνο torrent site στην αγωγή, και η Lionsgate επισημαίνει ότι η ταινία Expendables ήταν ακόμη σε περίοπτη θέση, και διαθέσιμη στη κατηγορούμενη when the complaint was made.
