Use PowerShell to perform an Offline Scan with Microsoft Defender:
Search for Powershell on line search of the Start menu.
Right-click the Windows PowerShell icon and select Run as Administrator.
Use the following command and press Enter:
Start - MpWDOScan
Your computer will restart and scan.

How to use Offline Scan in Windows 7 / 8.1
