Microsoft Edge now with vertical tabs

A few months ago Microsoft reported on the imminent arrival of one display settings for vertical tabs in the Edge browser.

According to the company the vertical alignment of the tabs can help improve the efficiency of the end user's tasks, not to mention the aesthetics which many will appreciate.

A key advantage of the vertical layout is that it facilitates a large number of tabs without facing the problem of shrinking the tabs that the favicons hide.

The arrival of vertical tabs is not something new, as we have seen it exists as an option in Vivaldi based on Chromium.

But the new option will not be immediately available to everyone. It currently exists in its settings build of Microsoft Edge, which you can download from here.

How to enable the new plugin:

Run the Edge Canary and visit the internal address edge: // flags
Search for the word shy and use the drop-down menu to activate the options Enable Fullscreen and Enable Swipe to ShyUI (Enable full screen and Enable ShyUI options).

Then restart Edge and you're ready to go!
