The company released a total of 13 security updates, five of which are critical, and priority should be given to installing them because they include essential fixes for Windows vulnerabilities.
The first critical information comes with code MS16-023. It is a cumulative security update for Internet Explorer and is available for all supported versions of Windows.
It doesn't matter whether you use Internet Explorer or not, it is recommended that you install this update because applications on your computer still rely on this Browser to provide you with content from the web.
According to Microsoft, this update fixes security issues in Internet Explorer that could allow an attacker to acquire the same rights as the logged-in user.
Windows 10 users should immediately install the update with MS16-024. It is a cumulative security update that fixes Edge. The flaw allows for remote code execution.
The other critical updates released today are: MS16-026, MS16-027 and MS16-028. All have been released through Windows Update, and some require a re-installmovement of the computer.
