Reuters: The American company biotechnology Monsanto and Microsoft announced yesterday a partnership aimed at investing in emerging agricultural technologies in Brazil.
Monsanto will boost a Brazilian investment fund with $92 million, managed by Microsoft, to evaluate ideas and develop new digital tools to be applied to the agricultural sector.treatment of the country, company officials said.
So selected ideas will receive initial funding of up to 459.000 dollars for an early development. The owners of the project will be able to repay the investment loan after three years or convert the money into shares.
