Mozilla plans to add a new specialized protection function for the monitoring we receive from social networks to the tracker protection system it already uses. This feature is under development, and will probably be released with its release Firefox 70.

According to the archive social-tracking-protection-blacklist.json Mozilla, the new feature will initially block trackers on domains related to the following sites or social networking services.

Firefox also plans to feature different profiles for enhanced Tracking Protection features, which will include protection from Fingerprinting, Cryptominers and Cross-Site Tracking Cookies.
So it seems that social monitoring protection has been actively developed and is being prepared for the upcoming Firefox 70. However, it should be noted that the above images are just mockups, so they may not end up in the final product.
