The foundation Mozilla released an open source memory analysis tool called Masche (Memory Analysis Suite for Checking the Harmony of Endpoints). The tool checks the memory processes without affecting the normal system activity.
The utility is part of its library Mózilla InvestiGator (MIG), which is a security system for Windows, Linux and OS X.
MIG is designed to allow researchers to collect data from a large number of systems at the same time, with a technique that reduces the time to verify an incident and other day-to-day security activities.
Masche was designed and built by a group of students (Marco Vanotti, Patricio Palladino, Nahuel Lascano and Agustin Martinez Sune) from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The app was developed over 6 months.
These students form a part of it of the Mozilla Winter of Security program, whose mission is to find an easy and less invasive way to transfer memory control methods.
Masche is distributed by Mozilla Public License, 2.0 and you can download from GitHub , where you will find instructions for compiling the program.
