This proves that Mars is not as dry as we thought it was. It has an active circle of water, which means it could be life-friendly.
The truth is that water (in liquid form) only appears from time to time in the Red Planet, but it is a fact that the surface of Mars is not completely deserted.
Apparently, its surface looks like a desert during the hot seasons. But in the seasons it is observed drop of temperatures, the water begins to flow, carrying minerals along with it. This is how the dark lines on the surface of the Red Planet are formed.
“When most people talk about water on Mars, they usually mean that there was ancient or icy water. Now we know that there is water and it is not ancient, ”said researcher Lujendra Ojha.
"It took many spacecraft over several years to solve this mystery, and now we know there is liquid water on the surface of this cold, desert planet," added the scientist. Michael Mayer.
The announcement that researchers have finally found evidence of wet water flowing on Mars surface was at a press event at the NASA Headquarters in Washington.
