The NASA Space Agency has just announced a breakthrough. The service revealed the existence of water on the neighboring planet Mars.
This proves that Mars is not as dry as we thought it was. It has an active circle of water, which means it could be life-friendly.
The truth is that the water (in liquid form) appears only intermittently on the Red Planet, but it is a fact that the surface of Mars is not completely desert.
Apparently, its surface looks like a desert during the hot seasons. But in times when temperatures fall, the water begins to flow, transporting it with minerals. This creates the dark lines on the surface of the Red Planet.
“When most people talk about water on Mars, they usually mean that there was ancient or icy water. Now we know that there is water and it is not ancient, ”said researcher Lujendra Ojha.
"It took many spacecraft over several years to solve this mystery, and now we know there is liquid water on the surface of this cold, desert planet," added the scientist. Michael Mayer.
The announcement that the researchers announced that they have finally found evidence of liquid water flowing on the surface of Mars during a press event at NASA Headquarters in Washington.
The event is still under way.
