Last month the popular closed P Time, as some of the site's key developers faced lawsuits in Canada. The MPAA claimed it had achieved one of the biggest anti-piracy victories in recent history, but its victory was rather temporary.
According to a publication in Reddit one of the original developers of the app is preparing a new upgraded app. His effort has even reportedly been crowned with success, as he has already released a fully functional version via Reddit.
The fixed version uses new APIs, so it is possible to view movies and TV shows without having the YTS website as a provider.
Update it code of the app via Reddit is just the beginning.
VPN.ht, VPN (created by some Popcorn Time developers), also informed the public that a new update of the streaming application is being prepared.
Popcorn Time Wally developer, who also runs the VPN.ht service, told TorrentFreak that Popcorn Time will come back.
"I'm still considering a full comeback, I just do not want to release a half working version," Wally said.
This of course shows that nothing is over and MPAA probably celebrated its victory very quickly ...
