HMD Global, representing Nokia, announced today the company's latest device: the Nokia 2.2 which will be sold at retail for € 99.
But let's look at the features of the new device that look very tempting for a phone in its category:
- Quad-core MediaTek Helio A22
- 2GB or 3GB DDR4 RAM
- 16 or 32GB ROM
- MicroSD port
- 5.71-inch display (19:9 HD+)
- 13MP f/2.2 rear-facing camera with LED flash
- 5MP front-facing room
- MicroUSB
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- 3,000mAh battery
- Android 9.0 Pie
The addition of a MediaTek processor is no surprise, as it is increasingly seen in budget-minded devices. As a rule, they tend to be cheaper than processors of Qualcomm.
Here we should mention that the HMD promotes Nokia 2.2 mainly for its enhanced photos. As mentioned, it has a 12-megapixel rear camera.
But improvements to better photos, according to the company, have been made in software that will use AI to improve low-light performance, capturing too many shots of the same subject before composing a photo.
Its new function software για τις φωτογραφίες της συσκευής ακούγεται σαν τη νυχτερινή λειτουργία της Huawei, την οποία διαθέτει σε πολλές από τις κορυφαίες συσκευές της, όπως τις P30 Pro και Mate 20 Pro. Για να δούμε πως τρέχει σε μια πολύ φθηνότερη συσκευή, καθώς τα 99 ευρώ που πωλείται το Nokia 2.2 είναι το ένα δέκατο της priceof a Huawei P30 Pro.
Nokia 2.2 comes with two different options for RAM and storage. In either case, you will have to pay extra.
The new device runs Android 9 Pie. It is the latest and greatest version of Google's operating system.
The device will also be part of the Android One program (the cheapest device you can buy and is certified by Android One), so you will have constant software updates.
