According to a new Guardian publication, NSA "Plants" backdoors and other spyware on devices before they are shipped to the markets.
The information comes, as always, from the leaked files Edward Snowden. The irony of the case should be highlighted, as the government of the United States accused the Chinese government a few years ago of doing exactly the same with Huawei and ZTE devices.
The attacks by the US government were so intense that Huawei finally decided to leave the US market.
In the file, published by the Guardian, it is revealed that the NSA systematically monitors unsuspecting citizens, through the routers, servers και άλλων συσκευών δικτύωσης υπολογιστών που εξάγονται από τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες στις διεθνείς αγορές.
The agency implants the spies tools, repackages the devices with the factory seal and sends them to the markets.
