Ludwig Nussel has announced the availability of the second ALFA Build of the upcoming openSUSE 42.2:
“OpenSUSE 42.2 alpha 2 is on mirrors. It contains parts of SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 SP2, including an updated YaST, the full update of GNOME 3.20, Samba 4.4, systemd 228, glibc 2,22, Mesa 11.2, CMake.
KDE hasn't been updated so to alpha 2 which is more GNOME for now. Bugzilla welcomes your reports. Some of these updates, such as CMake and glibc cause problems in other packages. So the amount of packages that don't exactly work on 42.2 has increased quite a bit.”
The timetable for the next Alfa version is July 20. So those who intend to try alpha 2 can submit observations for your fixes and up-to-date packages no later than July 15.
Please note that the distribution of OpenSUSE 42.x is the distribution I prefer and I use on two PCs.
