WhatsApp has made many headlines lately, after buying the Facebook service. As it is known, cyber criminals and crooks always use great news to trick unsuspecting internet users.
Panda Labs security researchers discovered targeted advertisements on Facebook that they promote malicious applications WhatsApp. This malware currently targets Hispanic users.
If someone clicks on the ad links, they are taken to one by clicking here presents a fake Google Play. On this site, it appears that tens of thousands of users have downloaded the “WhatsApp Tricks” app. The WhatsApp Tricks app shows victim users how to perform basic tasks such as changing status, blocking contacts and changing profile pictures.

Οι "υπηρεσίες" αυτές φουσκώνουν τους λογαριασμούς των θυμάτων και φυσικά. μέρος από τα έσοδα πάνε στους προγραμματιστές της εφαρμογής.
