Say goodbye to ads with Google Contributor

That's it Contributor is a Google subscription service that lets you see specific sites without ads against monthly fixed costs.

Google Contributor

Google Contributor is more of an experiment than a complete service, as it concerns specific sites that cooperate with Google in the first phase. Mashable, Imgur, Daily, The Onion, Urban Dictionary and WikiHow. The monthly cost amounts to 1, 2 and 3 dollars depending on what he chooses and then the ads disappear and the spots where the banners used to appear are empty.

According to The Verge, this money goes to the sites, but it is not clear whether Google holds a part of them. At the same time, no official information has been given as to whether to further enrich the list of web sites that have paused ad serving through Google Contributor.

Google, however, in its relevant announcement highlights the word "experiment" for Google Contributor, so it is not surprising that its limited scope or the fact that one can use this service through an invitation. It remains to be seen what the acceptance of the public will be and how the service will go in the economic field.
