Subsequently, a team of police officers of the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate, conducted on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, a search of the home of a citizen, during which an electronic device was found and confiscated. .

The confiscated digital evidence was sent to the Directorate of Criminological Investigations for further laboratory investigation.

The case file that was formed was submitted to the competent Prosecution Authorities, while at the same time their participation in other similar fraudulent acts is being investigated, with the same course of action, against the clients of banking institutions.

On this occasion, the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate advises citizens - internet users not to be persuaded by e-mails and to provide personal passwords (username and password) as well as the additional security code, if they are not sure that they are in a physical bank environment.
