Pinta 1.7.1 the Paint application for all operating systems

Pinta, the open source, multi-platform open source image design and editing software for GNU / Linux, Mac, Windows and BSD, has just been updated.

Η Pinta had stopped being updated around 5 so it's a surprise to see Pinta 1.7.1 released, the first of s Pinta 1.7 (released 15 months ago, when the developers decided to continue the project).

The new version is mostly a bug fix, but it also brings some new features, such as the ability to scroll the canvas horizontally by holding down the Shift key while using the mouse wheel, or the ability to zoom in and out on an image without pressing the Ctrl key.

Additionally, Pinta 1.7.1 allows users to swap primary and secondary colors in the palette by pressing X, and to move one pixel in the Move Selected Pixels and Move Selection tools using the arrow keys.

More at new version announcement page.

The application as we mentioned above is released for almost all operating systems and you can download it from the official :

For those who have not connected it, the name Pinta comes from the rewriting of the Microsoft Paint application.
