Q4OS 4.6 'Gemini': Q4OS is a Linux distribution based on Debian and is designed to provide a familiar environment (Trinity Desktop Environment) to the Windows user considering switching operating systems.
The distribution has simple accessories and provides stable APIs for complex third-party applications such as Google Chrome, VirtualBox and various development tools. Note that the distribution is based on the Debian GNU / Linux 10 "Buster" which means that the system is very reliable.
The new Q4OS operating system 4.6, is based on Debian GNU/Linux 11 “Bullseye” and comes with Trinity 14.0.10 desktop environment and Plasma 5.20. It runs on Linux kernel 5.10.46.
Own encoders and drivers On the welcome screen you will very easily find the option to install "Multimedia Codecs" as well as drivers. No problem, just do it click button and a wizard appears. With a few clicks on “Next” you will see the “Install” option to install your codecs and drivers.
