Q4OS 4.6 'Gemini': Q4OS is a Debian-based Linux distribution designed to offer a familiar environment (Trinity desktop Environment) to the Windows user considering changing operating system.
The distribution has simple accessories and provides stable APIs for complex third-party applications, such as Google Chrome, VirtualBox, and various development tools. It should be mentioned that the distribution is based on Debian GNU / Linux 10 “Buster” which means that the system is very reliable.
The new Q4OS operating system 4.6, is based on Debian GNU/Linux 11 “Bullseye” and comes with Trinity 14.0.10 desktop environment and Plasma 5.20. It runs on Linux kernel 5.10.46.
Own encoders and drivers On the welcome screen you will easily find the option to install “Multimedia Codecs ”but also guides. No problem, just click the button and a wizard will appear. With a few clicks on "Next" you will see the "Install" option to install your encoders and drivers.
