NASA was released a game that can be played by the program browsing intended to generate interest in the Nancy Grace Roman Telescope.
Entitled The Roman Space Observer Game, NALA Comm's retro arcade game is probably not an accurate one simulation of what it's like to use NASA's sensitive science equipment.
However, it is quite fun.
"Σας δόθηκε χρόνος παρατήρησης στο Ρωμαϊκό Διαστημικό Τηλεσκόπιο Nancy Grace (Nancy Grace Roman Telescope)", λέει η αρχική οθόνη, αφού επιλέξετε μεταξύ Αγγλικών ή Ισπανικών.
"Έχετε μόνο ένα λεπτό για να πιάσετε όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερα αστροφυσικά αντικείμενα και φαινόμενα" ή "You only have one minute to catch as many astrophysical objects and phenomena as possible".
Ομοίως με τα κλασικά Atari, τα ουράνια αντικείμενα πετούν στην οθόνη με διαφορετικές ταχύτητες. Ωστόσο, αντί να τα αποφύγετε ή να τα πυροβολήσετε, θα πρέπει να χρησιμοποιήσετε τα πλήκτρα βέλους για να κυνηγήσετε τα αντικείμενα. The most common objects are the orange and pink spirals, which denote galaxies and are worth seven points each. Other targets include the Webb Yellow Hexagon Telescope (75 degrees), white starburst supernovae (15 degrees), exoplanets with blue rings (10 points), green exoplanets (25 points) black dark matter (40 points) and black holes (50 points).
The Roman Space Observer Game is a pretty enjoyable little game and definitely better than some other video game promotion companies.
